CAR DEALERSHIP CHROME

$100 for Monthly Winner

Advertising! That must have been the main reason car dealerships often tagged the trunk lids of their merchandise with custom designed pot metal badges that bore the store’s moniker. That logo put the message ‘I bought my car at Joe’s,’ on the tail of every driver, and fired shots at the cross-town dealership. Every time a franchise owner saw a competing badge on the flanks of the car in front of him, all he saw was a lost sale. As for the car owner, he had a daily reminder of where to go when he was ready to trade up. Local advertising, local pride. That had to have been it.

Is the dealership still in business?

Every contest has rules, and this is no exception. They’re easy so you have no excuses. We want to see photos of the car dealership chrome. The photos are going to be judged on resolution, and the vehicle. To enter, send us 15 high resolution photos on a CD, or 15 photos. Make sure your images on the CD are jpg files and that they are large enough to publish in a magazine (7inches wide at 300 dpi). The photos must be in color. It’s simple and you could win $100 dollars.
